Relationship Rescue for Wives and Girlfriends of Internet Pornography Addicts

Just when you thought you had this online accountability thing down pat.

Cell phones are the newest and most private portal for porn. Phone companies have loosened control on their networks to allow a
wider variety of gadgets an services.  More advanced phones with better Web browsers like Apple Inc's iPhone also offer higher
quality pictures and video. "It will be impossible to stop the adult business exploitation of mobile entertainment," said Gregory
Piccionelli, a lawyer specializing in adult entertainment at law firm Piccionelli & Sarno.

Does anyone in your home own an advanced cell phone? Many 'Android Phones' are able to access free porn along with pay per view
sites such as live video or sites offering 'adult dates', a term for prearranged sex with strangers. How do you know if his cell phone is
an acceptable platform for porn? Do a quick Google search for the manufacturer and model of his phone along with 'Android'.
You'll soon have your answer.

The traditional porn industry has not fared well in recent years. A glut of free online porn sites have cut into regular profit streams
of videotape, DVD and pay per view or subscription-based Web sales. "To survive, adult entertainers need to be on top of phone
trends" said Jay Grdina, president of adult entertainment provider ClubJenna Inc, which he co-founded with his wife, world-famous
porn star Jenna Jameson. "If you don't evolve you're going to die. ... We need to make sure we're ready," Grdina said in an interview
before his keynote speech at the Mobile Adult Content Congress, where adult entertainment and technology companies are
brainstorming over how to make mobile porn a viable business.

Popular video-sharing site YouTube.com's plan to expand to about 100 million advanced cell phones may help the cause, even if it
means some ClubJenna content -- which includes everything from glamour photographs of scantily clad models to hardcore videos --
is seen for free on phones.

Pornography has made vast inroads on cell phones in Europe, where it was a $775 million industry in 2007 and estimates show
revenue growing to $1.5 billion by 2012, with the global market reaching $3.5 billion in 2010, according to Britain-based Juniper
Research. In comparison, North America generated just $57 million as carriers initially shied away from porn sales. Canada's second-
largest phone company Telus Corp, for example, withdrew a mobile porn service after complaints from hundreds of customers and
criticism from the Catholic Church.

The key to development of mobile porn may be willingness by carriers to open their networks to more content. Even if they
don't sell porn they would reap enormous financial benefits from additional fees paid by consumers if mobile
Web-surfing increases. And benefit they are. In the U.S., Verizon Wireless and Sprint Nextel Corp have jumped on the revenue
bandwagon by opening their networks. Yes, some companies have developed Web filters to help keep minors from adult sites,
however as you may imagine this does not help any man addicted to pornography when they are able to simply
override the filters.
What is the girlfriend or wife of a porn addict to do?

One of the mainstay programs that PAH endorses is Covenant Eyes. CE allows users to access any site, including XXX sites, however a
listing of all sites visited are categorized, ranked and emailed to both you and him on a regular basis. This full disclosure of surfing
habits gives the man struggling with porn the incentive to kick the habit rather than playing cat and mouse with traditional
pornography filter programs that can be turned off or circumvented.

The first 30 days of Covenant Eyes are free for all PAH visitors to try through this link.

So now lets look at how Covenant Eyes is able to keep with up mobile technology. Or not.
Covenant Eyes offers an Internet browser for the iPhone,  iPod touch, and iPad. This browser is not filtered, but simply monitors
everywhere you go online, rating each Web address for mature content. This information is included in the regular Accountability
Report for CE subscribers.  Currently the Covenant Eyes app is free for existing CE members from the App Store.

Here is where the CE applications do not protect you on cell phones. Quoting from the Covenant Eyes website:
"Because of the nature of the iPhone, it is impossible to provide the same level of accountability as our Windows, Mac, and Windows
Mobile applications. One of the shortfalls is that we are not able to monitor Safari, YouTube or other applications on the iPhone. So,
in order to increase your level of accountability we recommend having your Accountability Partner set up your iPhone to use Apple’s
“Restrictions” feature. The two recommended options are disabling Safari and YouTube as well as disabling installation of additional
applications."

Bottom line is, this requires a willing cell owner participant to disable various software applications and sites. It is entirely easy to
circumvent the CE software with a cell phone. What is PAH's recommendation if you have concerns with cell phone use in your home?

In one word: WebWatcherMobile.

the content of all emails, instant
messages and keystrokes entered on
the cell phone touch pad. If anyone
searches for 'teen girls' or 'adult
dates' on a their phone, you will be
the first to know.

You are able to access reports from
your computer at home, or from
your own smartphone.

Now that's smart.
PAH highly recommends
WebWatcherMobile.
